I am Melissa “Small Town Indiana Girl” Powell!

Welcome to my home on the internet! I am a true small town Indiana girl! I was born in Hartford City, Indiana, in Blackford County.

And I was raised in Montpelier, Indiana, where I lived until I was 19 and moved to Fort Wayne when I got married. I lived there for two years…and I hated it! I now live in Beautiful Bluffton, Indiana (Wells County) They say that most people do not move far from the place they were raised, and that is true in my case! I live about 20 miles from my home town. Now, in my husbands case, he was born in Richmond, Indiana (Wayne County) but was raised in Houston, Texas!

I nicked named myself Small Town Indiana Girl after hearing John Mellencamp’s song Small Town! I thought it fit me to a “T”!

On my website, you will find pictures of me as a child, pictures of me now, pictures of my friends, family, pets, and pictures that I have taken. To say I love taking pictures that is an understatement! You will also find my poetry and graphics I have made. Photography, poetry and Print Shop 8...those are my addictions!
