Several random measurements around town ranged from 4-9 inches. Bluffton’s Wastewater Treatment Plant recorded seven inches of snowfall.

Earlier predictions of more than a foot of snow were not met, but that didn’t mean road conditions were not treacherous during the winter storm.

As of 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, Wells County Commissioner Paul Bonham declared a state of emergency. That means that all county roads are CLOSED. All County agencies will be closed. At this level all County industries, businesses and schools are expected to close and abide by this policy until such times as level is lifted. Persons sight seeing/joy riding will be subject to arrest. Emergency vehicles are only travel permitted on County roads at this level.

The Blizzard of 2007 Well we survived the blizzard of 2007! We stayed warm with our neighbor and close friend who drove across town because we thought our neighbors cat Conner was about to deliver her kittens. Who knew cats can like humans, have false labor? As of 2/15/2007...there are still no babies!! Anyway…here are the pictures Tip and I took today! I had not been out of the house since last week! I was getting cabin fever!!
