Chloe Olivia Athena
On March 3, we welcomed our newest winged daughter home! I named her Chloe Olivia Athena. The night before, I wrote this poem:
Does God Think We Are Ready?
It has been seven long months since you left us here
It was like a part of us suddenly disappeared
You were so special, and so sweet with a beautiful soul
When you first looked at me, my heart you stole
There is not a day that I don’t think about you
We miss you so much, since to Rainbow Bridge you flew
We mourned for you, and cried our tears
You were our daughter with wings, we had you so many years
I think we are ready, to welcome a new angel with wings
No doubt I will think of you, as she chirps and sings
You were one of a kind, a true lady bird
We knew you loved us, you did not have to say a word
So if God thinks we are ready, tomorrow will be the day
So little Toby, whisper in his ear send another angel their way
I am excited and sad at the some time
Although I know which ever one chooses us, will steal our hearts blind
And I know you will be watching us from your place in the sky
The Rainbow bridge, where all the birdies fly
And when I got to the aviary, there she was sitting there looking at me! So I looked around, and while all those other birds were flapping around, making noise, she was still sitting there, being so quiet and watching us. And that was how we found her…she was sitting there waiting on us!
Hatched December 2006.…Brought Home…March 3, 2007

Welcome home Chloe Olivia Athena!
Posing pretty on daddies hand
Another pose with her daddy
Head crest standing at full alert!
Up on the window frame…this was before daddy trimmed her wings
What a sweetie
A Kiss for daddy
