untitled

This page is in loving memory of my Grandpa George who passed away on January 1, 1994 from Parkinson's Disease.

I hope you like my tribute to him.

Grandpa was in WW2 where he was on the U.S.S. Atlanta CL-104, and also was in Japan, when both bombs were dropped.

My grandpa also loved IU basketball...and when he passed he had his Bobby Knight autographed basketball in his casket.

He loved to hunt, fish and garden. He was great at helping with my history homework too!

Grandpa George

Grandpa, I am remembering you today
I know you could no longer stay
I think of you everyday when I sit in your blue chair
And you are always with me, just a memory away

New Years day now has two meaning for me
The start of a New Year
And the day you left us and went home
And we all shed our tears

I know you look down at us
And you see how our families have changed and grown
You know all the six babies that are on the way
And all the others who have reached a milestone

I know you are sitting up there
With Grandma Iris, and your mother and Dad
It just seems like you were here yesterday
And we all miss you so very bad

But please just know I am thinking of you today
And I miss and love you
It’s been two years since you went to heaven
New Years day you got your wings and flew
