I Love You
When we got married
We said our vows, and took them to heart
To stand by each others side
No matter what happened
We promised we would never part
Married fifteen years and fourteen years with out a fight
How many couples can say that
Then suddenly it went from peace time
To straight up combat
I know you did not mean to hurt me
And I did not mean to yell
But you hurt me so bad
And put me through hell
It will take time
For me to again trust
But with time, I know I will
To have it in a marriage, is a must
In the heat of the moment
Things were done, and words were said
Divorce came up
Dangerous waters we both did tread
Wedding rings came off
And the fighting gloves went on
I left bruises on you out of anger and pain
That is something I am not proud off
I forgive you…but this I will never forget
Don’t make a promise you can’t keep
Because we both paid the price
And it was way to steep
Our love is worth fighting for
We love hard
And we fight the same way
Both leaving us with scars
With out truth we have nothing
With out honesty our love will dies
With out trust
Again will I cry
